Digital Video

Now anyone can make a movie using most digital cameras. Youtube is full of movies created by people from all walks of life. To make a good movie requires editing and other post filming processing. Many free programs can be used. Finding the right one however, can be difficult and time consuming.

We can help you make your first or second or your fiftieth movie even better by teaching you how to use a video editing program.

Classes will be once or twice a week depending upon the type of class (beginner, intermediate, advanced). These classes will be scheduled based upon student requests. The outlines below may change as necessary to ensure a great learning experience. You will need to have a digital camera capable of video and a computer to edit your video. A laptop computer would be best for the class however, we may be able to accommodate a desktop computer. Unfortunately we do not have a computer for you to use.

Classes will be $25/hour unless otherwise noted.

This class will provide you with a good overview taking a video and how to upload it to Youtube. This is an introductory class of approximately 30 minutes and will be provided at no cost.

Digital Video

Class length may vary based upon the level of training desired. Digital cameras have made recording videos easy. Some cameras provide limited editing capabilities but usually with some difficulty and limited control. A video editing program will allow you to produce a video that is polished and then create a DVD or Video CD. It requires an investment in learning and practice however, the results of your efforts will be worth your time.
